What is Super Plus?
Super Plus is petrol with a higher octane rating, usually 98 or higher, and is referred to in Europe as ‘Super 98’, ‘SP98’ or ‘Premium Unleaded’. It is available in most countries, but sometimes less prominent than Euro 95. This fuel is intended for engines that require higher compression or better performance. For travellers, it is important to know that you only need this fuel if your car requires it. There are no specific restrictions or advantages regarding low-emission zones, but it is generally more expensive than standard petrol.
